The long service life of the equipment of distribution networks of rural settlements, the imperfection of power supply schemes in combination with other reasons, leads to a discrepancy in the quality of electricity regulatory requirements. At the same time, many power lines ofkV, especially those operated in rural areas, are overstated in comparison with the recommended length. Sometimes it reaches two or three kilometers. This, in turn, leads to a decrease in the reliability of power supply to consumers connected to power lines, and the presence of consumers with unsecured quality of electricity. The emergence of these shortcomings was also facilitated by the displacement of the load center in the process of operation with the chaotic construction of rural settlements. Recently, prices for the construction of power lines and transformer substations have increased significantly. Therefore now, for elimination of the noted shortcomings, capital investments are allocated first of all not for construction of new, and for carrying out reconstruction of the existing power lines. The article presents the results of the analysis of the technical condition of electrical networks of 0.38 kV for agricultural purposes of the Orel region. It is shown that almost 60% of them need reconstruction. The planned options for the possible reconstruction of the networks are offered. The software product allowing to prove the most optimal variant of reconstruction is offered.
