Justification of parameters of industrial economic growth using the modified Burch index

The article presents a methodology for assessing the priorities of industrial development based on the application of the Burch index to the assessment of agricultural products and regions, identifying drivers of agricultural production development and determining their contribution to economic growth. To determine the priority areas for ensuring industry growth, we suggest using the birch index with adjustments. We have used it not only for evaluating large agricultural organizations, but also for evaluating types of agricultural products and regions of the Russian Federation. Since agricultural production is largely dependent on natural and climatic conditions, the index is calculated based on the ratio of average values of indicators for two 3-year periods.
