Rationale for using a digital automated system with elements of artificial intelligence in a multifunctional year-round greenhouse

Harsh uncomfortable natural conditions of the Russian North cause negative shifts in the functional state of the body as a whole in the living population, which affects the health and performance of people. In winter, there is less sun and a vitamin deficiency is observed, which can be replenished with green plants. Green crops in the North are grown in year-round multifunctional greenhouses. In such greenhouses, it is necessary to use digital automated systems with elements of artificial intelligence to implement comfortable environmental conditions individually for the grown crop. The main element of the digital automated system with elements of artificial intelligence is a microcontroller. It is proposed to use the Arduino platform to automate and monitor various agricultural processes: environmental monitoring, irrigation automation, microclimate control in the greenhouse. The purpose of the work is to justify the use of a digital automated system with elements of artificial intelligence in a multifunctional year-round greenhouse. A preliminary technical and economic assessment of the effectiveness of using a digital automated system with elements of artificial intelligence in a multifunctional year-round greenhouse showed that the economic effect was about 800 thousand rubles with a payback period of approximately 2 years. The economic effect is achieved due to the ability of artificial intelligence to promptly select the best environmental conditions for a specific crop; thanks to timely signals about a malfunction and the rapid response of the system, allowing the malfunction to be corrected in the nearest future.
