The analysis of known mathematical models for describing the thermal state of the cutting zone during intermittent grinding is performed. The theoretical substantiation of the choice of a thermal model for describing the state of the cutting zone has been performed. A mathematical model of the state of the cutting zone during intermittent grinding of titanium alloys has been developed, based on the principles of superposition when adding temperature fields.
