One of the determining factors that condition the growth rate of agricultural production is the availability of technical means that make up the whole structure of machine and tractor units of agricultural enterprises. An increase in the production volume of the plant growing industry is possible with a high-quality sowing work, which is due to the optimal placement of seeds in the feeding area and the depth of planting. Thus, the modernization of existing and the creation of new seeding machines that ensure the rational placement of seeds is an urgent task. The aim of the work is to develop a ploughshare that ensures uniform distribution of the seeds along the length of the sowing rib. The object of the research is represented by the regularities of the process of ensuring uniform sowing of grain crops, by justifying the rational parameters of the proposed working body of the seeding machine by means of multifactor regression analysis. A symmetric orthogonal compositional plan of the second order was chosen as a model. The criterion for optimizing the geometric parameters of the developed ploughshare is the uniformity of the distribution of seeds along the length of the sowing rib. In the course of experimental studies, the following parameters of the proposed ploughshare were changed: L - the length of the cutout on the outer side of the rectilinear profile of the lower edge of the rack varied between 20-80 mm, α - the attack angle on the horizontal plane and β - the roll angle on the vertical plane varied between 3-28º. In the course of the research, a regression equation was obtained, on the basis of which the response surfaces were constructed. From the analysis of such surfaces, it can be seen that the rational parameters ensuring the achievement of the best distribution of seeds along the length of the belt are the attack angle α = 25º, the roll angle β = 15º, the length of the cutout of the lower edge of the rack L = 50 mm.
