The image of the absolute ruler in treatise "The prince" Niccolo Machiavelli

This article is devoted to analysis of the treatise "The Prince" Niccolo Machiavelli, particularly the image of the ideal ruler for Machiavelli. To study the personality characteristics and environment of the sovereign bases and prince's policiy is offered through two approaches - historical-sociological and personal. This article describes why these approaches can be applied to the treatise. The same article is based on evidence that in the treatise is presented the image of an absolute ruler who wants to maximize his power.
