The wizard image in Kiev Russ and the modern "super-hero": comparative analysis

The attempt of social-philosophical and cultural analyses of the images of «the Super-Hero» in modern popular culture and the image of the Wizard in the fable context of Kiev Russ is undertaken in the article. The similarity traits of these images, being characterized in such aspects as the defence function, the appearance, the possessing of superpower, the mystery, the foe (enemy) image and so on, have been revealed. It has been marked that the given heroic plots, being the culture part, are the signs of the context condition and the civilization condition.
