Image of the Brest region (based on the materials of an associate experiment: modeling and interpretation)

The article is devoted to modeling the image of the region through the prism of the linguistic consciousness of the residents of the Brest region. The research material was 821 associations obtained during a free associative experiment, in which 160 students ofBrest State University named after A.S. took part. Pushkin. All obtained associative reactions are divided into 10 thematic groups. Based on the ranking of thematic groups in accordance with quantitative data, layers in the cognitive structure of the image of the Brest region are identified.
