Image of london in E. Zamyatin’s «Catcher of men»

The subject of this research is the image of London in the story Catcher of Men by E. Zamyatin. The author examines philosophical (Nietzsche’s сoncept of the Apollonian and Dionysian) and scientific (law of thermodynamics) views of the writer, what makes the style and poetics of this work rather complex. The author marks out the system of images (images of characters and sketches of a landscape), archetypal leitmotifs in the London’s image.
