The image of a mother in the minds of women with different self-attitudes

The article is devoted to the review of the results of empirical research of the relationship between the image of the mother in the minds of women with different self-attitudes. The study confirms that the relationship of average strength exists between a woman's self-attitude and the image of a mother in consciousness. Women with a negative image of their mother revealed an overestimated self-esteem, which, according to the author, speaks more about sufficiently strong psychological defenses than about a real attitude towards themselves.
