The basic problems of labour migration are described in the article; the image of the labour migrant formed in federal and republican mass media is considered. The analysis is based on the results of mass media content analysis conducted by RSO "The Society of Refugees and the Compelled Immigrants" in 2011 on the basis of monitoring of 6 newspapers.
