In the modern world of market relations the pattern of the region has a particular significance. In terms of rhetorical approach, the pattern is seen as a means of reasoning or discursive tool of conflict. In domestic science, the term «pattern» of the tradition is correlated with the phenomenon of «image». In modern science, there are many classifications of the image, opinions about its nature and functions of the communicative nature. The image of the region as part of the external world is a product of speech-mental human activity, is constructed by administration, the media, prominent figures of different spheres of society and the public. Quite often on a par with the concepts of the pattern / image area as an object of research arises the stereotype of a particular region. The world in its entirety is perceived by man through the prism of stereotypes that determine the effective management of information perception process. The pattern of the region is complicate and difficult thing to detect, which cannot be reduced only to economic factors. At the same time referring to onetime success are not sufficient. It is necessary that the past has started to work on the future, on the formation of an attractive pattern, without which it is impossible to overcome the demographic decline, to achieve inward investment, attracting highly skilled migrants, to create a competitive advantage for the region in the context of globalization. The pattern of the region in human geography is regarded not only as a territory, but also as an «alive», socially and intellectually constructed space. The boundaries of the territory are not determined by geographic categories, and common identity («sense of belonging», a set of voluntary shared norms and values, adherence to certain procedures). In national scientific tradition, the term «pattern» is correlated with the term «image». In modern science, there are many classifications of the image, opinions about its nature and functions of the communicative nature of the term «image», despite the widely recognized urgency, is largely generic in nature. The image of the region as part of the external world is a product of speech and mental, propositional-discursive human activity constructed by administration, the media, prominent figures of different spheres of society, as well as people living in a particular area. The image in political science is closely linked with the pattern of a political leader, activist, parties that formed on the basis of public opinion, it is able to affect the authority and influence (rating) its carrier. Political image formed in the public consciousness at the rational level (the influence of the program, speeches, arguments of its carrier); emotional level (mental motivation mobilization of society); sensory (appearance, behavior, manners of political image carrier). Analysis of works devoted to these problems, allows the author to express their position and to determine the significance of the speeches of the governor and the media in the formation of a pattern, the image and stereotypes of the region.
