This article discusses several relevant principles of interaction between generalizing thinking and image sensitivity defined in antiquity while studying architectural and sculptural arts. The authors applied aesthetic and anthropological methods of conducting research and reasoning. They concluded that the intelligence is attached to imagery, which assumed not only literal but figurative, universal sense by means of allegory. Besides, the paper notes that both literal and metaphorical image transformations are important for creation of meaning.
