The formation and development of the geological committee of the Russian Far East

The article is devoted to the little-studied issue of the organization of the Geological Committee in the Russian Far East. It reflects the complexity of the formation of this organization associated with frequent change of political power in the region. The author investigates the efforts of the leading Russian scientists directed to the development and conservation of the Far Eastern branch of the Russian Geological Committee. Special attention is paid to the difficulties that the members of the Committee had to overcome during the first years of its existence.
