Formation of noun-derived physical action verbs in the Buryat language

The article deals with the word formation and semantics of noun-derived verbs with the meaning of physical action in the Buryat language. Basing on the analysis of dictionary definitions we made the semantic classification of physical action verbs according to the model "noun + affix -л (-ла)" and identified the amount of semantic meanings for derivative verbs. We also considered interrelations of noun-derived physical action verbs and derivational bases in connection with word formation, and revealed the degree of bases productivity in formation of physical action verbs.
