The article considers educational opportunities of special subjects such as drawing, sculpture and painting taking into account the contents and links of these educational subjects with the practice of art. In this connection the specificity of each of the types of fine art is considered. The specific features of the main genres of fine art in sculpture, drawing and painting that determine the educational opportunities of the relevant disciplines have been highlighted. On the basis of this the concept of designing special disciplines programmes in modern artistic pedagogical education is presented.
