Educational potential of modern students

The article considers the concept of educational potential as a set of personal and professional qualities of the individual which are formed under the influence of institutional conditions in educational institutions and are necessary for the further successful work. On the basis of results of author's sociological researches among students of higher education institutions of Penza (2014) and polls of students of higher education institutions of the Volga region (the Penza and Saratov areas, the Republic of Mordovia, 2015) motives of education, educational strategy, criteria of success of training and conditions for realization of educational potential of students are analyzed.
