Images of nature in Mordovian mythology as basis for moral valuables formation

Actual issues in the formation of moral valuables in the interrelations between the human being and the nature are treated in the article. Facts from the history of philosophical thought uncovering the influence of environment on the formation of morals and traditions of the people as well as moral culture of ethnos are brought to light. After the example of Mordovian mythology elements serving the source for axiological orientations and behaviour norms are traced.
