The article discusses the perpetual problem of the spiritual growth of the human, and mankind in whole. Jung and his students studied the process of individuation, the conditions and factors influencing the transformation and spiritual growth of the individual. According to Jung, the central core of the human psyche is the Self archetype, which conceals the potential for developing talents and complete self-actualization. The key to unlocking it is working with the ego. We suggest paying attention to the fact that the ancient Buddhist philosophy contains carefully developed theories and practices of working with the ego. Followers of Jung's analytical philosophy can take advantage of this and strengthen their position by turning to the philosophy of Buddhism.
