Public perception of electronic money in Russia

The topic of electronic money is relevant today in the framework of financial science. The lack of the clear generally accepted understanding of the purpose of electronic money, as well as definition of 'electronic money users' complicates significantly development of scientific researches in this sphere. The article analyses the state of electronic money use in Russia, and formalizes an electronic money user. The research results can be used by credit organizations, legislative and governing bodies, and can be of interest for potential electronic money users.
