General provisions for the appointment and production of expert examinations in the investigation of the destruction or damage of forest plantations

Introduction: the purpose of the study was to study the general provisions for the use of special knowledge in the investigation of the destruction or damage of forest plantations. The relevance of the study is due to the fact that forensic examination is the main form of using special knowledge, without which the investigation of almost no crime is complete. The ever-increasing role of forensic expertise is recognized by scientists and practitioners. The investigation of the destruction or damage of forest plantations is no exception, in which forensic examinations are appointed in almost 100% of cases. Materials and Methods: general scientific methods - analysis, observation, generalization, comparison, description. The Results of the Study: allow to reveal and give an idea about the peculiarities of the production of forensic examinations in the investigation of the destruction or damage to forest plantations. Findings and Conclusions: The main similarities and differences in the production of forensic fire-technical examinations in forensic institutions are outlined in Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russian Federation and EMERCOM of Russia. The main features of the appointment and production of fire-technical expertise, as the main type of expert research in the investigation of the destruction or damage of forest plantations, in the above departments are highlighted. Attention is paid to other types of expert studies, the appointment of which may be needed in the investigation of Art. 261 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federationю.
