The article deals with the theoretical and practical substantiation of the necessity of the including of the authentic materials in lessons in the process of teaching of foreign speech of middle school children. There is presented the methodological basis of the teaching process of oral speech with the use of the different kinds of the authentic materials based on the thematic plan of the learning and methodological complex “Spotlight” for the 7th grade of the middle school. There is described the experience of using the completed methodological recommendations in the conditions of the experimental learning.
