Fedosova E. V. An “ordinary” citizen: constitution of ethnic identity by case study of Vladikavkaz (ideological project "A Soviet person")

The paper considers the impact of such an ideological construct as "soviet person" on the formation of ethnic identity. In the course of sociological research, the author considers the structure of the ethnic identity of the respondents who were born and socialized in the USSR. The data analysis has shown that the self-identification within their ethnic group or other components of social identity, for example, the ideological construct “a soviet person" is primary in the structure of the respondents' identity.
