An overview of current trends and features of the private investment market in Russia

This article discusses the main aspects reflecting the current state of the private investment market in Russia, its dynamics and the impact of key macroeconomic indicators. Statistical data on the investment activity of Russian retail investors (taking into account the territorial aspect), an analysis of the structure of their portfolios and investment volumes are presented, which made it possible to trace relevant trends in the composition of assets in the portfolios of private investors in the IIS and TM segments. Attention is drawn to the current macroeconomic situation (inflation rates, key rate increases, moderate GDP growth rates) and the impact of these factors on investment decision-making by retail investors. The influence of digital technologies on the investment activity of individuals is noted. The article also highlights the main areas of government policy that have a significant impact on the development of private investment, creating incentives for investors and ensuring the stability of the Russian financial market. The presented analytical review made it possible to identify the current state, key trends and directions of further development of the private investment market in Russia.
