Review and analysis of publications on the development of models and methods for scheduling in construction

This article examines the existing publications on the development of models and methods for scheduling in construction. It is considered which played the most important role in the development of calendar planning in production and construction. Needs have been identified for improving scheduling in connection with the constant complication of planned, organizational, managerial and economic decisions in construction. On the basis of the analysis, it should be pointed out that, as a result of the development of numerous competitive options for each case, there arises the problem of choosing among them the most appropriate (ie, most effective) specific production conditions.
