The concept of a ”sharing economy" was first proposed by Felson, a professor of sociology at the University of Texas, and Spence, a professor of sociology at the University of Illinois, in 1978, but it has only become popular in recent years.The main feature of this economic model is the implementation of direct exchange of goods and services between individuals through a market platform based on information technology created by a third party.
