Overview of international experience in the provision of health and social care services at primary health care level and its application in Kyrgyzstan

WHO encourages all countries to include the development of primary health care on their national agenda, including the following three components: multisectoral policies; empowerment of people and communities; primary health care and basic as the foundation of integrated health services. Primary health care is a key first point of contact for the patient with the health system, which provides accessible, continuous, comprehensive and coordinated care. Many countries have supported this WHO call and have demonstrated various effective models of primary health care service delivery with multi-sectoral and integrated principles, especially in the area of National Council on Disability. The following is a brief overview of international best practices in the provision of health and social care services at primary health care level to identify possible areas for the development of similar primary health care models in Kyrgyzstan.
