Overview of the main risks associated with the implementation of projects for the development of the oil resource base of the arctic shelf

Any project is associated with uncertainty and risks. As for projects related to the development of the hydrocarbon resource base of the Arctic shelf - a unique terminology used to use various factors, among which are used: - difficult natural and climatic conditions; - geological features; - vulnerable ecosystem; - remoteness of regions and transport inaccessibility; - high capital intensity of projects, also associated with the creation of new unique technologies for the industrial development of deposits in these conditions. In this regard, when developing Arctic projects, it is necessary to take into account all possible risks that can affect not only financial investments, but also the ecosystem of the region.
