Overview of foreign sources on the topic of improving the efficiency of power supply systems

The review of scientific works devoted to the topic of increasing the efficiency of power supply system’s shows that this topic is relevant not only in Russia but also abroad. Researchers from different countries are carrying out work on this topic and offer various technical and organizational solutions aimed at maintaining the parameters of the quality of electricity, improving the reliability of electricity supply. But at the same time the concept of efficiency of power supply does not figure in these works. Efficiency is considered as the totality of various indicators, most often not combined with each other. Therefore, the authors of the presented article offer their own interpretation of this concept.
