Assessment of adaptive potential of crop variable varieties in the competitive test by the sign "yield of grain"

The article presents the results of evaluation of adaptive capacity and stability of broomcorn millet varieties in the nursery of competitive examining for 2013-2017. The best conditions for the growth and development of genotypes were formed with a positive sign of the environment index (in 2014 Ij = 6.63., 2015 Ij = 7,33), the worst - with negative (2013 Ij = - 3,17., 2016 Ij = - 6,77., 2017 Ij = 3.97). Variety-standard Saratovskoe 6 and Krest›yanka have high plasticity and stability, moreover, the variety Krest›yanka is characterized by high breeding value of the genotype. Variety Rossiyanka responsive to the improvement of environmental conditions and is characterized by a stable yield. Variety Povolzhskoye 80 responsive to changes in environmental conditions, with average stability. Varieties Rossiyanka and Povolzhskoye 80 can be characterized by varieties of intensive type, varieties Saratovskoye 6 and Krest›yanka - semi-intensive. According to the results of the analysis of variance, the factor «year» made a significant contribution to the variability of the trait. The creation of stress-resistant sustainable broomcorn millet varieties will reduce their dependence on weather factors, which will lead to an increase in yield and product quality.
