In the boundaries of Krasnoyarsk in March 2009 41 samples of snow were selected. The solid residue with its subsequent weighing and nuclear and emission spectral analysis is allocated. The level of pollution of snow cover is determined by average dust loading which is assessed as average, moderately dangerous 216 kg/sq. km per day using the data on the mass of solid residue; the total average value of geochemical pollution of snow is 351 that corresponds to a very high, extremely dangerous level (Zc more than 256). The left-bank part of the city and especially its northeast district, where aluminum production is located, is the most polluted.
