Assessment of the regional policy instruments long-term impact on the development of the Russian Far East

The presented research focuses on the instruments of state regional policy, primarily preferential regimes aimed at the socio-economic development of the Far East. In order to identify the effectiveness of the regional policy of the Far Eastern Federal District, the article calculates a forecast for the basic and optimistic scenario of the development of the macroregion, taking into account the specifics of the instruments used. The hypothesis of the study is that preferential regimes have a long-term positive impact on spatial development, including such indicators as investment inflow, trade turnover, industrial production. The structure of the research allows first of all to consider all the instruments of regional policy, then the factors that have a negative impact on the macroregion. Then, a forecast for the development of the macroregion was calculated. Ultimately, based on the results of the study, the author formulated recommendations for improving the instruments of regional policy in the Far Eastern Federal District.
