The estimate of the phytocoenotic diversity of xerophytic herbaceous vegetation of the «Kulikovo pole» nature reserve using different approaches to vegetation classification

The phytocoenotic diversity of xerophytic herbaceous vegetation of the «Kulikovo Pole» Nature Reserve was estimated using both the Braun-Blanquet and the dominant-determinant approaches to classification. Those levels of the syntaxonomic hierarchy where it appears possible to compare the results of unlike classification algorithms were revealed. Our result can probably serve as a basis for comparing the syntaxonomic diversity of different areas in case the last was estimated using different approaches to classification.
