The article deals with the studies of carbon fiber reinforced plastics disposal by thermal method basically aimed at polymer matrix depolymerization with preservation of carbon fibers. The results of experimental studies of carbon fiber reinforced plastics recycling by thermal method ensuring extraction of the reinforcing filler to be reused at a later stage in production of carbon fiber reinforced plastic samples from the matrix volume for assessment of physical and mechanical characteristics are reflected in the paper. Assessment of the secondary carbon filler properties retention as compared with the original fiber has been carried out.
