Estimated parameters of ground-based network of GPS / GLONASS receivers designed to perform monitoring of ionospheric disturbances of natural and technogenic origin

ISTP SB RAS has been studying ionosphere with the use of GPS signals since 1996. Using the amassed data, we have estimated parameters (spatial and temporal resolution, sensibility) mandatory for ground-based GPS/GLONASS receivers designed to register and perform monitoring of ionospheric plasma disturbances. We have analysed arrangement peculiarities of monitoring of ionospheric disturbances over Russia using ground-based dual-frequency GPS/GLONASS navigation receivers.
