Presents the results of the evaluation of the information component of the social-psychological situation in the contaminated territories of the Ural region. Analysis and generalization of the results of this research, the level of awareness and the needs of the population in the information related to the possible influence of radiation factor allow to increase the effectiveness of programs in the area of information-psychological protection of the population of these territories.
