Assessment of the effectiveness of innovation activities of the subjects of the federation

Innovative activity is able to solve many socio-economic problems facing society. In the context of a pandemic and sanctions pressure, the role of such activities is significantly increasing. At the same time, it is important to evaluate the effectiveness of innovation activities. The study was conducted on the data on such activities in the subjects of the Federation obtained on the information resource of the Federal State Statistics Service. In the article, clustering of the subjects of the Federation according to the conditions of innovation activity is carried out, estimates of the effectiveness of the subjects of the Federation are calculated by the DEA method and normative values of indicators for inefficient regions are determined.
