The main prerequisites and conditions of formation of the market of sports and sports goods and services, essence and the content of commercial activity are considered. The marketing place in system of the organization and management of the commercial activity which is carried out by the sports and sports organization is shown. Experience of functioning of trade and a services sector in the Russian conditions is analysed and used, estimates of efficiency of commercial activity are given to the recommendation about application of foreign experience.
