Evaluating the effectiveness of capital management in the rocket and space industry

Currently, for integrated development and gaining a competitive advantage in the open market, the vast majority of countries spend significant amounts of money on R&D financing. This trend has been clearly visible over the years. In the Russian Federation, one of the few sectors of the economy engaged in the production of science-intensive and high-tech products is the rocket and space industry. As a result, a significant part of the financial costs of R&D in our country falls on enterprises from this sector of the national economy. The presented work in the direction 08.00.10 Finance, money circulation and credit is devoted to the assessment of the efficiency of capital management at enterprises of the rocket and space industry. The article presents analytical indicators of comparing the costs of the rocket and space industry. Based on the available sources of information, an overall assessment of the financing of space programs in the medium term is presented, taking into account the improvement of both the technology itself and the service sector in which it is applied. The specificity of capital management in this branch of the national economy is highlighted - most of the activities are financed in the Russian Federation by the state through the placement of a state order. A comparative analysis of the revenue and financial performance indicators of the largest foreign and Russian space enterprises has been carried out. The obtained results of the analysis showed the low efficiency of the financial results of the activities of Russian companies representing the rocket and space industry. The presented sequence in the study and, as a consequence, the results obtained are appropriate for various economic entities planning to invest in the activities of enterprises in the rocket and space industry, as one of the elements of assessing the feasibility of making this decision.
