Assessment of economic security of a commercial bank: comparative analysis of approaches and issues of improvement

There is no single approach to defining the concept of “economic security of a Bank”, and the question of the impact of digitalization on the activities of banks is also open, which makes it possible to conduct further research in this direction. The theoretical and methodological basis of this research is the scientific works of Russian scientists, regulations of the Russian Federation, publications, statistical and analytical materials. The article presents the results of a review of research by Russian scientists on the problem of ensuring economic security of economic entities in General and, in particular, commercial banks. The author’s definition of the concept “economic security of a commercial Bank” is formulated. The interrelations of the categories “challenge”, “danger”, “threat”, “risk” and “level of economic security of the Bank” are analyzed. A comparative analysis of existing methodological approaches to assessing the economic security of a commercial Bank has been carried out, which has shown the variety of indicators and the multidirectional emphasis of scientists on the issue under study.
