Assessment of economic efficiency of agricultural production in the Belgorod region

The efficiency of agricultural production directly affects the level of food security and self-sufficiency of the country's residents and individual regions. When determining the economic efficiency of agricultural production it is necessary to consider not only the ratio of profitability and costs, but also the efficiency of the use of investments, public funds allocated for the development of the industry. The article presents an assessment of the economic efficiency of agricultural production of one of the agrarian regions of the Central Federal District Belgorod region from the position of the efficiency of agricultural enterprises, investment processes in the industry, the use of state support funds, the level of self-sufficiency in food.
