Assessment of export possibilities of Russian small and medium entrepreneurship in relation to Brazil

The article presents the results of a study of export opportunities of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) of the Russian Federation in relation to Brazil, as one of the BRICS member countries. Based on the BACI database from CEPII, the structure of domestic non-resource non-energy exports to Brazil was calculated based on the results of 2022, the most promising areas for the development of export opportunities of SMEs were identified: fertilizers, mineral or chemical, cereals, rubber, etc. Their compliance with the priority areas of the National Project “Export” was checked. Average export prices and potential volumes for increasing supplies of grain: wheat, corn, barley, including considering the current tariff restrictions, were calculated. The problems and prospects for the development of SME trade activities within the BRICS are outlined using Brazil as an example.
