Assessment of competitiveness of the Belgorod region in the Central federal district

The article is devoted to the study of the level of competitiveness of the Belgorod region on the scale of the Central Federal district. In the transition to market relations, the regions, as independent and independent economic entities, are endowed with the most important functions, the implementation of which contributes to the formation of the socio-economic and legal environment that guarantees business and commercial structures reliable «logistics» in terms of social, economic and environmental security, and thereby increasing the competitiveness of the regional system. With the help of a well-known methodology for assessing 17 indicators, the situation of the territory relative to other subjects was assessed on the basis of statistical data. Analysis of the main indicators of competitiveness of the Belgorod region showed that in the study period there is a positive dynamics in the change of most indicators of socio-economic development and competitiveness.
