Assessment of competitiveness of regions of the RF using the Pareto regularization method

The methodology for multidimensional comparative assessment of the level of competitiveness of regional systems is considered. An approach is proposed that makes it possible to obtain a generalized integral indicator based on the principle of comparison using the Pareto regularization method. Regression models have been obtained that make it possible to identify significant factors of competitiveness. It is shown that the identified determinants of competitiveness have heterogeneous spatiotemporal dynamics. A method for determining weight coefficients when constructing an integral indicator using regression equations and a general property index on a set of selected factors in the context of regions of the Russian Federation was tested. The advantage of the proposed methodology is that, unlike classical clustering methods, the identification of homogeneous typological groups can be carried out on a variety of dependent and independent variables.
