Assessment of Criteria for the Recreational Potential of Cultural Heritage Sites of Estate Complexes in the Bryansk region

The studied manor complexes of the Bryansk region reflect advanced ideas in the field of landscape architecture of the late XVIII – early XIX centuries. The article is devoted to the assessment of manor complexes in the Bryansk region. Estates with both typical features of compositional construction and unique characteristics of the spatial solution related to the natural features of the area were selected for evaluation. The purpose of the study is the possibility of using manor complexes as tourist and recreational facilities. Assessment methods include historical and architectural analysis of the spatial structure of parks and geobotanical studies of the species diversity of the plant community of park territories. The assessment of the safety of the planning structure was carried out on the basis of dimensional drawings and schematic plans drawn up in the second half of the 20th century by V.N. Gorodkov. The assessment of the state of the stand was carried out using methodological guidelines for the identification and survey of historical parks and park landscapes on the territory of cultural heritage sites. Based on field studies conducted during the 2023 and 2024 field seasons, it was revealed that in some estates the planning and spatial structure of the park area has been partially preserved, while in others it has been completely lost. The old-age plantings on the territory of the manor parks are in a satisfactory condition.
