Risk assessment for water drop erosion with application of elastic contact deformation theory

The impact of a water drop is considered to be an elastic contact interaction. The stressed condition and characteristics of load that cause plastic deformation are defined by means of the theory of elasticity and computer mathematics. The formula for droplet’s velocity that gives rise to the erosion is derived.
