Evaluation of the main indicators of agrotechnical cross-country ability of the Vector-410 combine in the conditions of the Republic of Dagestan

The purpose of the study is to assess the main indicators characterizing the agrotechnical cross-country ability of the Vector-410 grain harvester when harvesting winter wheat in the fields of the Republic of Dagestan. The object of the study was the interaction process of the Vector-410 combine propellers with the soil of the agricultural background. There has been applied an experimental method which used the measuring complex «tire tester», as well as autotractor scales, planimeter, pressure and voltage sensors, drying chambers, pharmaceutical scales, oscilloscope K-12-22, personal computer, etc. Evaluation of the agrotechnical cross-country ability of the Vector-410 combine was carried out on winter wheat in OOO Niva of the Kizlyar district of the republic according to GOST 7057-2001 and GOST 20915-2011. It has been established that in terms of maximum pressures (211,8 kPa versus the permissible maximum of 80-210 kPa) and normal soil stresses at a depth of 0,5 m that have been determined using standard methods (81-85 kPa), the Vector-410 combine harvester when equipped with 18.4LR-24 tires, does not meet the requirements of GOST R 58655-2019 (no more than 25-50 kPa). However, direct measurements of normal soil stress values (17 kPa) along the tracks of the combine's drive wheels on the soil show that the 18.4LR-24 tire can be installed on the Vector-410 combine's propellers operating in the conditions of the Republic of Dagestan. In addition, the obtained data on the change in the soil bulk density in the tracks of the most loaded propellers of the Vector-410 combine compared to the agricultural background showed an average value of the compaction coefficient of the arable horizon is no more than 1,1, while the one in the subarable soil horizons, especially in the layers located at a depth of 0,5 m, is equal to almost one. Moreover, the actual value of the soil bulk density in the tracks of the combine propellers on the 18.4LR-24 tire in all layers does not go beyond its equilibrium value. It should be recognized that the GOST 26954-2019 methodology is not perfect and requires clarification.
