Assessment of the prospects for the economic development of the region in the implementation of measures to increase the production of sunflower seeds (on the example of the Krasnodar territory)

The paper considers the organizational and economic aspects of the activities of enterprises in the region related to ensuring its environmental safety. The analysis of statistical data presented in the reports on the state of nature management and environmental protection of the Krasnodar Territory for 2019-2021 was carried out. The indicators that characterize the state of the water resources of the Krasnodar Territory, their change over the years of observation, indicators characterizing the activities of working with industrial waste, as well as the amount of current costs for environmental protection, including payment for environmental services, are considered. The structure of waste generated in the course of economic activity by industry is considered. The economic activity of the region aimed at improving environmental safety in terms of optimizing the work on the disposal of industrial waste is analyzed. The special relevance of environmental safety issues for the region, which has a developed sanatorium-resort and wellness infrastructure and actively provides services in these sectors of the economy, is indicated. The range of issues being resolved in the region within the framework of the implementation of the “Environmental Safety Strategy of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2025” is outlined.
