Phyllophagous insects significantly affect the weakening of English oak trees. The article presents the results of a comparative assessment of the damage to oak leaves by entomopests growing in contrasting conditions of the forest-steppe region of the CChR. It was found that in 2020 there is a low damage to the phyllosphere by oak pests. An entomological examination of the plantings revealed damage to the vegetative sphere of the oak by the peppered moth Erannis defoliaria and the broad-minded oak moth Acrocercops brongniardella. It was found that in the upland oak forest, 31% of the model trees were damaged by Acrocercops brongniardella. Indicators of the degree of damage to oak leaf blades are in the range from 5 to 30%.
