Assessment of natural-therapeutic resources of Karachay-Cherkessia

The Karachay-Cherkess Republic is distinguished by unique natural, climatic, balneological resources. The natural resource potential of the republic is able to return health to patients, improve performance, well-being. Monitoring observations on the study of medicinal plants were carried out in the republic, extensive material was collected on their chemical composition, distribution areas, and therapeutic properties. Currently, there is an urgent need to solve the problem of preserving natural-territorial complexes, biological and landscape diversity and rational inclusion of them in the tourist-recreational and sanatorium-resort sectors of the republic's economy.
